WAS-H offers many opportunities to learn or just to hang out and paint with other artists. Below is a list of offerings, with links to sign-up. (Programs are subject to cancelation during a Major Workshop or holiday.)
- Classes & Workshops: Ongoing, open to all. Found under the Education menu tab, each quarter new classes and workshops are offered. Classes may be one-time events, two-day workshops, or recurring weekly classes. Classes may be added at any time, and each quarter launches a new line-up. - Major Workshops: Semiannually, open to all. Found under the Education menu tab, Major Workshops occur coincident with WAS-H's two major exhibits, the Annual Members Exhibit and the International Watermedia Exhibition. Nationally known artists present two-, three- or four-day workshops. For more information click here.
- Senior Class: Weekly, open to all age 55+. Wednesdays, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. This is a WAS-H Outreach program. Sometimes an instructor will lead the class through a painting and other times students may paint on their own. Students bring their own supplies. Sign-up HERE.
- Model Labs: Weekly, open to all. Wednesdays, 12:30-3:30pm. Figure and portrait model labs are offered. No instruction. Sign up here.
- Open Studio: Weekly, members only. Members are invited to use the WAS-H classroom when classes are not scheduled, usually Thursday evenings and Friday daytimes. Bring a brown-bag dinner or lunch and enjoy the camaraderie! Sign up HERE.
- Paint-Ins: Monthly, members only. 2nd Saturday each month, 9:00am - 3:30pm. Single-day class with instruction. Sign-up HERE.
