Does your photograph look great but copying it does not make a great painting?
Strong design and composition are essential for eye catching paintings!
In this class you will develop an artist’s eye as we look at the artwork of Old Masters and Professional artists to identify what makes their paintings outstanding! You will learn about design & composition, and how to evaluate and edit your own photos or drawings to create well-designed eye-catching paintings.
Bring your photos, drawings, and/or paintings. Each student will have personal time with teacher to learn how to edit and strengthen their own compositions and painting techniques.
Supply List:
Watercolor paper, watercolor paints & brushes & supplies, photos of subject matter, drawings, and/or paintings. Please also print photos on 8.5 by 11” paper for easier review.
